Okay, this is it. The Skyhook. You've blown up Xizor's Palace, but he escaped to his Skyhook, a large spacestation. You must destroy it to put a stop to Xizor's plan of killing Luke once and for all.
The first part of the stage is pretty much for getting extra lives for the big battle. You are manning the guns and must destroy Xizor's ships (Star Vipers) while Leebo flys to the Skyhook. There are unlimited Star Vipers and you get a 1-up for every 15 Star Vipers you destroy. Use the inside-the-cockpit view for better aim at the ships. After a few minutes, you will automatically reach the Skyhook.
When you reach the Skyhook, you will take full control of the Outrider, including the weapons and steering. Again, Use the inside-the-cockpit view for better aim and rate of fire. The area will be filled with X-Wings, Star Vipers, and even the Millenium Falcon. Darth Vader also has a bone to pick with Xizor, so there will be Tie Fighters and a Star Destroyer. Don't attack the Star Destroyer, though. You can't hurt it and it could attack you. I heard a rumor that you could bring it down to 99% after shooting it for a couple hours, but I doubt it. First, you must destroy the turrets on the arms of the Skyhook. There are 4 of them. have a full volley of torpedoes and fly toward one of them. When it says "Turret Range Warning", your torpedoes have locked on then shoot all your torpedoes at it. Try to shoot them as quickly and close together as you can because they can recharge quickly. Recharge your torpedoes and repeat this for the other 3. When you destroy all 4 of them, you must fly in the Skyhook and destroy the core. You know those long arms with the turrets on them? you must fly into them. Just go to the platform where the turrets were on and turn right or left or go straight(depending on what direction you come from) into it. (you might want to use the outside-the-cockpit view for this part) As you go through the arm, you will have to avoid little barriers shaped like half a circle. The core will come into range but don't shoot it until you've gotten past all the barriers. When you have, fire all your torpedoes at it. This will only do 25% damage though, so fly out through another arm and repeat this 3 more times until it is destroyed. Well Done.
