Ponderosa Pines
Ponderosa are one of the most well-known varieties of pine trees that are found in the Sierra Nevadas. The Pondersa Ranch is still a popular tourist destination near Lake Tahoe. Bonanza, the classic television western, was filmed on location a hop, skip, and a jump from Incline Village, Nevada.
Background Set - Image Source
I created the Pondersa Pines background set in June 2004. This page was created from an image that I took of a pondersa pine tree at Empire Mine State Park in Grass Valley, California.

The process of making these images is very simple. I used the PSP 8.1 plug-in called Virtual Painter - Pastel. This option is a fun, easy way to alter digital images. Directly below are other examples of the plug-ins available. On the left is the original image, then pastel, then oil painting, then impasto.

Font - Background Colors
The larger font face on this page is set to "dragonfly"; and the pale cream color is "antiquewhite". You probably aren't seeing the text in "dragonfly", unless you have already visited www.fontfreak.com and downloaded it yourself. The smaller font face on this page is "georgia"; the light font color is "66OOCC".
The background color used on this page that coordinates with the images is "6699FF".
