This training took place at The World Bank Resident Mission, Kampala. 18 teachers participated under the instruction of Mr. Clyde Boyer assisted by Mr. Sam Carlson and Mr. Robert Hawkins.
Below is the list of the teachers who participated in the WorLD training that took place from Jan 26-30 1998. The new seven schools were to provide two teachers while the three schools (Gayaza, Mengo and Namilyango) which were on the STSI program since Nov 1996 were to provide one teacher in this group. Earlier on these schools had each got a donation of 8 computers and 1 Sun Sparc Server from the World Bank on Jan 24 1998.Among those present on the day the computers were donated were Mrs. Janet Museveni the Ugandan First Lady , Mrs Elaine Wolfonsen wife of the World Bank President, and Hon. Amanya Mushega, the Minister of Education, Ministry of Education Officials,Headteachers,Resource Teachers,Parents' representatives and students.
