BETAZOIDS
Race of powerful telepaths from Betazed. Betazed has been a member of the Federation for several
decades and their assimilation into Federation culture has been slow. As a powerful race of telepaths
with great range and capacity many are uncomfortable around them, but understanding of Betazoids
has increased in recent years. Their culture is one of great beauty and an ancient history, with family
records up to 40 generations. Betazoids are physically identical to humans except for a slightly
different brain structure.
