On the bus everyone was talking about July Halloween. I told them I was an army soldier. I thought that July Halloween was a stupid idea and it is! When we came to the camp people asked me what I was. I was an army soldier. "A stupid idea," I told them. Kim looked through my bag and spotted my soldier costume and pulled some of it out. "Hey that looks cool," said Brittany. I didn't think so. Now it was time to go recreational swimming. Whatever that means. But during that time I didn't go swimming. I played Frustration and Jerk (also called Ass Hole) with her. I won both times. I always win in all the games with play with each other for some reason.
Soon we had our snack. It was animal crackers and lemonade. The lemonade wasn't as bad as yesterday. IT had more sugar now. I loved the animal crackers and had too much so I was very full. Next we had to play dodgeball. It was fun, but it made me sweat and it was really hot. I couldn't wait until we got into the pool for swimming lessons. When we waited to go in the pool, many of the little kids took the longest time so we had to wait. When we were finally allowed to go in, we heard the horn. The horn meant it was time for a fire drill. oh darn it! I was so hot and I just needed to have a little dip in the pool. After the drill I jumped into the pool. It felt so good. I learned how to do elementary backstroke. It was so easy! Then after that we had a relay race in free style. Our group won by a person! Lindsay was really fast and she was the first one in our group to swim. That's why we won.
It started to rain. All of us tried very hard to get dressed but it was hard with the rain pounding on us. My glasses began to get all foggy. Soon we reached our pavillion where we were to stay. For half an hour, me and Kim played frustration, jerk, and egyptian ratscrew. Only once did Kim win me in a card game. She was really happy. Soon the rain stopped and we went into another pavillion to wait for some pizza we had all chipped in to buy. The pizza man still didn't come yet. On the speaker phone someone announced that we were to put our costumes on for July Halloween. I put on my army soldier clothes over my bathing suit. It was so hot in it. I saw all these little kids wearing the army soldier suits too and I got embarrassed. Kim only had to put a skirt and an apron on because she was supposed to be a house slave from the 1700's. We started to play egyptian ratscrew again. i won! Then we played slapjack. We never finished that game because now it was time for the Halloween parade. We walked around in the burning sun. I was sweating. When the judges finally saw us, of course I knew I wouldn't win an award for funniest, ugliest, scariest, or prettiest costume. And I was right! I didn't win an award after the announced the winners. Then I got out of my costume. It was a real waste for bringing our costumes for just a stupid Halloween parade, if you know what I mean. At my school we do a lot of fun things on Halloween.
After that we were supposed to do special activities but we didn't. We went straight for the pool. For the next 3 hours we played in the pool. It was fun. I didn't realize we were in for that long until I saw my bus. First before I got on my bus I bought a bag of chips. I munched on them until I got home. Then I had my mango snack then took a shower. I then came down to the basement, got on the computer, and then started typing in this journal. Well after I'm done reading my email I'm going to go upstairs to play Final Fantasy 7 on my playstation. Liz, a girl in my camp told me how to get farther in the game! Thank goodness!
