Sable Interview on Aol, Christmas 1997

Host: Tonight's guest is the lovely SABLE!

Sable: Hello Everyone I want to thank you all for joining me here tonight!

Question: Sable, tell us how the December 30th Raw magazine shoot went and where did it take place?

Sable: It took place in Florida. I'm very happy with the Magazine. And it will be coming out December 30! I really had a lot of fun shooting it... and being out on the beach!

Question: Sable, do you get embarrassed wearing so little clothing and do you have a regular photographer?

Sable: Yes, his name is Rich Freeda. I do not feel uncomfortable or embarrassed being around him like that... he is a special guy.

Question: If you weren't in the WWF... what profession would you like to pursue?

Sable: I would continue modeling and an acting career

Question: Sable, do you think the WWF has gone over the edge? And has gotten away from wrestling?

Sable: I believe wrestling in general is cutting edge, but we are giving fans what they want to see and our ratings are higher.

Question: Sable, tell us what it was like to be the card girl and the Butterbean PPV?

Sable: It was the first time I ever did that. It was exciting being on a big pay per view. It was nice for me to meet the boxers and the atmosphere was great. We met Larry Holmes; George Forman was there also.

Question: Sable, do you like Marvelous Marc's NEW image and style?

Sable: I don't think he has so much a new image, it's attitude. Since he's been off so long, he had to re-adjust to get back to wrestling. I believe he's more aggressive. I like it. He's where he wants to be. I don't think the fans appreciate what a great athlete he was the first time around when he came here. You either love him or hate him.

Question: Sable is your eye OK? And can you tell us... did Marc punch you?

Sable: Yes, my eye is fine. And no, Marc has never hit me nor will he ever hit me I would not stick around for that.

Question: Sable, do you like DX? And are they over the edge?

Sable: No, I don't think they are over the edge. I don't agree with what they do, but it's not my place to voice my opinion about them. Regardless of whether the fans agree with what they do or not, it sure has generated a lot of interest.

Question: Sable, you and Marc have a Web Site and are on the Internet. Do you listen to the fans?

Sable: We do like to read the fans opinions. We don't agree with a lot of what they say. There are a lot of people that say things that should not be said on the Internet or elsewhere.

Question: I understand SEX sells, but do you think you take it too far?

Sable: No. Have you ever seen me having sex?

Question: Sable. I live in San Jose CA and I was wondering if you were going to do anything special at the Rumble this year? But you always are special.

Sable: We really haven't thought that far ahead yet. We will take it one day at a time and concentrate on what is next for us.

Question: Sable, any thoughts on Bret Hart leaving the WWF?

Sable: I think Bret is a great talent. It was sad to see him leave the company. But everyone has to do what is best for him or her.

Question: I read in a recent issue of a WWF magazine the prediction for 1998 was you and Mero will break up. Is that true and if you do will you manage someone else?

Sable: Marc and I will stay together. We have no predictions of splitting up. We are going through a hard time right now, and I will stick by his side all the way through it.

Question: Do you think more females should be in the WWF?

Sable: That's a personal decision for me. It's the right thing for me right now. I don't think there is any reason why there shouldn't be. They add a lot of entertainment to the WWF.

Question: Sable, we have not heard from Marlena... Do you keep in touch with her?

Sable: I have recently spoken to her. She's doing well. But I don't know what her plans for the future are.

Question: Do you consider yourself a role model? Or a SEX object?

Sable: I don't consider myself either. I just do what I enjoy.

Question: What are your plans for the holidays?

Sable: My plans are I have a large family, and they are all coming to our house. I have a dinner party for 30 people, and I will be relaxing and enjoying my time off.

Question: Do you think Goldust and Luna have gone too far? And would you let your child watch RAW?

Sable: That's a personal decision everyone has to make on his or her own. And, I just don't like to comment on other wrestlers in the WWF.

Question: What are your thoughts on Tom Brandi?

Sable: I don't know him very well. I think he's talented.

Question: Sable, what are your plans in the WWF for 1998?

Sable: Like I said before, I'm gonna take one day at a time. I'm gonna stay with Marc. And we will do whatever it takes to go to the top. And, I hope to see some gold this year.

Host: Ok... that will do it! Thanks for joining us tonight!

Sable: The magazines and my merchandise make great Christmas gifts! I want to thank everyone for joining me tonight, and have a great Christmas everyone!
