I decided to see if I could put the fish on some sort of stand. Here are my first efforts. The "grass" is made from borosilicate glass (hard glass) so that it would be stronger. The beads can be slid off the stand and worn on a cable or cord. The photographs were take by Ellen Baker.
I am calling these fish "Rock Fish". I introduced these at the Virginia Hot Glass Festival held at Sunspots Studio - they were quite well received! I am planning on doing further work along these lines in the future. This is so much fun!
Beth Carey (my business partner) has started a new line using the fish. I just saw the first piece! As soon as I can get some pictures, I will post them for you to see.
