        Ok we said we were going to explain why Rupert is a stay at home boyfriend - so here it is.  Rupert was born with a disease called Duchene's Muscular Dystrophy, which over time slowly "degenerated" his muscles confining him to a wheelchair.  Now he can do many of the activities that all of us enjoy, but he needs help or adaptations must be made so he can participate.  He would work if he could, but most companies are not willing to make the adaptations needed, and Rupert cannot sit in one spot for very long (he needs to move in his chair to get comfortable).  He does have limited use of his hands - but trust me, even though he does not have the use of his limbs, he doesn't let that stop him from anything!!  Well that's the scoop.  If you have any other questions, you can visit the Muscular Dystrophy link for a more detailed description of the disease, or visit our links page for a link to the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Web site.
