Bill Goodell aged seventy two shot 73
gross. Bill playing off a nine handicap
carded his best ever round which
included five birdies. After the game he
told me he had no idea what he was
shooting, however he calmly birded the
last hole. Dave Paliwoda presented bill
with a used golf ball and first place in
today's event. Former Captain and friend
Bill is an inspiration to us all. His
other hobbies include chain smoking and
lashings of Rum & Sprite. By Kilroy Was

Jan 04 2005 BBSC Welcomed New Captain
Dave Paliwoda as he took The Helm today
and it looks like Dave going to run a
pretty tight ship. No more gimmies and
golf ball will be played from the rough
instead of the usual caddies drop back
to the fairway. Just a few of the new
Idea's to be introduced in 2005. Dave
also brings his unique style to the
presentation. He's a pretty Big guy and
was quick to call order during the
presentation. Dave a long time club
member and former right hand man to past
captain Bill Goodell. he probably holds
the title of clubs most "improved
player" a now handicap of ten and hits
the ball a county mile. He looks descend
for single digits this year. With his
new team of Stephen Peters (treasurer)
and Jim Murphy (Handicapper) The future
look bright. Good Luck. Kilroy Was Here

June 2005 The Powder Keg closed its
doors after Ten Years. Problems renewing
the lease and labor disputes with the
girls finally brought one of Angeles
Cities great institutions to its knees.
The Powder Keg, Along with all its
characters will be surely missed.
