The Horse Whispering Stables

You’ve just traveled many miles, and added much more traveling experience to your horse and yourself then you intended to. You’re tired, weak, and hungry, suddenly you see the sweet distant light of a torch, a roaring fire, blazing on the tip of a stick, that will NEVER blow out, it stands there, welcoming any traveler wishing to seek refuge from storms, rain, or snow.

Once you’ve signed for a room at the Shadow Mist Tavern Inn, you suddenly stop to think What about my faithful companion who has taken me this fair on my travels? Then a new face is seen approaching you telling you of the Horse Whispering Stables that are not to far from the Tavern, as a matter of fact, the Stables are only about a block walking distance away.

Once you reach the Horse Whispering Stables You stop and look at the large barn structure. You can’t help but be amazed. You knock on a small wooden door held to the side. A figure answers and you, and you tell them you need a place for your horse to stay. The figure nods, telling you of the price to board your horse there (Which is only about 1 silver a night). Once paid the figure opens the large red and white barn doors.

Inside the barn its warm, bright and a sweet smell of grain lingers around in the air. Everything is clean, neat and tidy inside the large barn. A few horses peek there large heads out to look at the new arrival, a few exchanges of whinny’s and Nays and they resume eating there dinner. You can’t help but marvel at its beauty and the amazing craftsmanship about the barn. The rafters are panted a dark brown color, to silhouette the main color of the barn inside which is a gentle hay color with a hint of light brown sugar.

The figure points to the stall that your horse is to board in and then disappears, there standing behind you is a stable hand, slowly opening the latch to the horses stall and slowly moves back as if opening something for a large, formal dance, with the red carpet and everything. The stall is large, and has fresh bedding placed inside, nice and neat. There is a large rack on the side, one with steel bars and hay rests inside, and next to that is a bucket full of fresh water.

Finding your horse at ease, relaxed and happy you pat your horses head and leave to make your exit through the large barn doors, the warmth still embracing every inch of your skin, sheltering you from the cold outside. Once you walk down the small ramp to the barn, the doors slowly shut behind you. No one is seen shutting the doors, they just….Slowly close. The light dims down, the warmth slowly disappears and your left in the cold once more until you return to the Shadow Mist Tavern Inn where your large, warm, comfortable bed awaits you, with the view anyone would kill for. Throughout the window is a large yellow wheat field that is in full bloom every year, until winter where there is a large clearing of snow, the Moon’s aurora beams down on the snow, sending little sparkles here and there. This place offers nothing but the best service, Friendly patrons, and the best ale around. The Shadow Mist Tavern was created to make you feel at home, to make you feel relaxed, to make you feel like a god.
