The Encounter
The wind blows swiftly throughout the shadows of the night, the forest tree branches sway with emotion of loneliness and determination to find a lost soul and tower high above you, only to reach down and touch your frightened body and to send every drop of fear down ones cheek. As you walk past the shadows of the night, sweat streams down your forehead, your heart beats hard through your chest, your blood pulsates through your hand, and your heart beat can be felt hitting against your wet, slippery fingers. Suddenly you hear an earth shattering howl, echoing across the forest, and past the trees, it almost seems to scare away the shadows, for they too, wish to hide from what approaches. You suddenly stop, ears pinned to every movement made, every cracking of a twig, every chirp of a cricket, EVEN every croak of a frog. Just as you await the horrifying, tense shaking moment, thinking what is to come out of the mystery stricken shadows, you suddenly see two pares of, frosty hard yellow eyes with amber streaks of color, The most amazing ray of color you have ever laid your eyes on. Your entire body from head to toe, freezes. The eyes pin down upon you, they seem soft, kind, but hard and jagged with fear and terror. You can only stand there, awaiting your death. Your mind is sent into a loop of horrifying thoughts. Just as you thought the end was surely stamped upon your face, the eyes blink, then suddenly the creature honored with such beauty in there gaze, steps out into the moonlight, as if standing in the spot light of the treasured spark of the night. There standing before you is a large were wolven creature. It stands well past 9' tall. The fur is course, smooth, soft and shiny. The colors shimmer in the moons light, they dance into your eyes with dazelment, the many rays shine with grey, black, and white streams across your eyes of amazement, such beauty in such a large creature, one known to kill as many as 20 men with no effort, one with hard fangs of steel as some describe it, piercing into your flesh sending a wave of death to tamper with your soul. This creature seems no harm to one, it just stands there. Eyes still piercing into your body, still reading your thoughts, your movements, recording every action made. Suddenly the wolven creature opens its mouth, sharp fangs appear, a low tempered growl infests the silence that surrounds the entire forest. Just then the creature makes a movement forward, its large paw strikes the ground, crunching the dirt, imprinting its mark against mother earth as if saying, "I wont give up"The wolven creature stands there, suddenly thrusts its head back and lets out a body ripping, heart bursting howl. It echo's through out the entire valley, only to bounce back off the mountains and pivots into ones ear, to remain there, to echo for eternity. Your eyes shutter, your mind suddenly freezes, just as you gain yourself back for a moment, as you were lost in time, you notice the figure gone. It has dissapeared into its own realm, a realm no one wishes to dare toy with. As you gain your heart back, and your soul shaking with fear subsides into your head you can only just, walk away, with nothing in mind, but the howl.
