Cone put an end to Sum41’s long search for a Masterbassor in Feb. of 1999. Sick and tired of cleaning up stale popcorn and hard gummy bears at the Movie theatre where he worked, Cone decided that the road leading to rock was his destination, so he quit the movie business for a career in music.

Born in 1980 in Toronto, Cone grew up surrounded by a huge selection of Satellite pornography. His Father, “Porno” Paul, taught him the importance of a fine Porno flick and for years Cone’s face was glued to the screen. By 14 years of age Cone had put down his dick long enough to pick up his first Bass, an El Degas, and since has honed his skills to become the next Geddy Lee. The roster of bands Cone had formally been a part of is short, consisting of only one, however this one band had several awful names. Names like Wizard, Lizard Tongue, Presse and the Rippers, Second Opinion, Body Dream and finally “The Nights of Even Grable; A Treble Charger cover band” eventually led to the bands demise. Cone then joined Sum41 and still thinks that he is the real reason Sum41 got signed because as he keeps reminding the band “We did get signed right after I joined the band.”

Dave hails from the Southern Wastelands of Ajax. Having two hardcore Guyanese parents you'd figure he would have a little more colour to his character but the only thing he inherited from them is a love for curry. He spends most of his time trying to catch up to Yngwie Malmsteens burning "guit licks".
Aside from his cat Spanky pissing on his god damn laundry all the time he is a happy guy. He has been in the greatest bands such as:
A.N.D.P. • Anatomy • Embodiment • Doors Of Draven • 747 • Glenn Dogg and P Real's Punk Hop Explosion Fo Yo Mind • Freight Train Robbas • Empty Chamber haha.
Then all of a sudden he fell ass backwards into the hands of Sum 41. The most hated band in Ajax.

Deryck grew up in a variety of different settings. Starting out in Scarborough, Canada his rep as a champion recess fighter in elementary school. That all ceased when he retired from the WRFA (world recess fighting ass) at the tender age of eleven. He then moved on to lead a simpler life in the small farming town of Keane, filled with fishing, Rod Stewart albums and barn yard orgies.
Realizing he needed more, Deryck and his Mom picked up and moved to Ajax. Soon after Deryck bought a guitar. Then it started – bands and song ideas started to flow like piss from a bed-wetter. Former bands include: Powerful Young Hustlers, Eternal Death, Chemical Head, Door’s of Draven, Keane’s unbeatable teens, Kaspir and Final Notice. Then of course in the summer of ’96 Deryck and Steve formed SUM41
