Originally from Auburn, Alabama, HRC formed in 1997 and quickly built
up a strong following playing local clubs and with bands like The get up kids
, Jawbox and Poster Children.
The band was originally known as Antidote and released the full
Length Mr glenbowskithat received much critical praise, including
being named one of the best-unsigned bands of 1998 by Musician Magazine.
Shortly after that, they renamed themselves HOT ROD CIRCUIT".
