Hope In Despair

It is at a desperate time such as this that it is so reassuring to know certain truths. It is my prayer that these truths encourage and uplift someone's heart right now. They are promises of our Lord. The Lord is THE Sovereign. The Lord Jesus is in complete control at all times. ************************************************************************************************************** Isaiah 45 vs 5 & 6 *** "I am the Lord, and there is none else , there is no God beside me; I girded thee, though thou hast not known me. *** That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else." ************************************************************************************************************** It may not seem like it to those suffering such tragedy on a deep personal level of loss, but the Lord IS Good and He loves us all unconditionally! He promises us that He will never leave us nor forsake us! ************************************************************************************************************** Hebrews 13 vs 5 & 6, *** "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. *** So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." ************************************************************************************************************** Joshua 1 vs 9, *** "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." ************************************************************************************************************** His promises are true and unshakable, and are for all those who believe on the name of Jesus. **************************************************************************************************************

Words of encourgement..: ************************************************************************************************************** 1st John 4 vs 4 *** "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world." ************************************************************************************************************** Romans 8 vs 35 - 39 *** "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? *** As it it written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. *** NAY, in ALL these things we are MORE than conqueorors through Him that loved us. *** For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor Height, nor depth, nor any ther creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." ************************************************************************************************************** Hebrew 13 vs 6 *** " So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. ******************************************************* *******************************************************

Psalm Chapter 46 *** "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. *** Therefore will not we fear though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; *** Thought the waters therof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. *** There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. *** God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. *** The Lord of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. ************************************************************************************************************** Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he that made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariot in the fire. ************************************************************************************************************** Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. ************************************************************************************************************** The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah." **************************************************************************************************************

There is a greater purpose in all things: ************************************************************************************************************** Romans 8 vs 28 *** "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." ************************************************************************************************************** Romans 8 vs 31 *** "What shall we then say to these things? James 5 vs 16 says that "the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man availeth much." ************************************************************************************************************** Matthew 11 vs 28-30 *** "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. *** Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. *** For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" ************************************************************************************************************** Another promise of peace: ************************************************************************************************************** John 14 vs 27 *** "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." ************************************************************************************************************** Our eternal future in Christ: ************************************************************************************************************** Revelation 21 vs 4 *** "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. *** And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful." **************************************************************************************************************
