The Lionead Standard.

This is the Lionhead working standard that has now been set by the British Rabbit Council Breed Standards committee. This working standard gives us all the goal to be working our Lionheads towards. The standardisation will take a minimum of three years, so we all have plenty of time to fix our rabbits type closer to this standard. Standardisation of colours will be done seperately, So far, the only colours put to the standards committee are the Fawn and Harlequin Lionheads. So, if you are breeding other colours, unless you are willing to put your colour to the BRC breed standards committee, it could be some time before you can show your prefered colours. If you are interested in putting another colour of Lionheads to the BRC BSC, please contact the BRC who will tell you how to go about this.
