Gene's Page

Well, this is me, Gene. I am also known as "Eagle", to my internet buddies. I live in New Westminister, B.C. I was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, April 21, 1955. I was also considered to be my older sister's (Louise) birthday present, since her birthday was on the 22. At six months of age we moved to Edmonton. I don't remember Medicine Hat at all. I was just starting my life in Edmonton shortly after my brother was born. In all my developing years alot of the docs and educators that I had never thought I would amount to much. But I proved them wrong. And my mohter always had faith in me never givng up. When I got my diploma from A.V.C., (Alberta Vocational College), now known as Norquest, she was very proud of my success. From there, I went on to Bredin instute where I studied Analog and Digital Electronics (Computers). I also have a son of my own, Adam Eugene. He was born almost a month to the day of my birthday. He was born on May 19, 1989.
My family is something that I will always be proud of. Sure we had our disagreements at times, but when it gets down to the real nitty-gritty, we always pull through and are there for each other.
UPDATE
I have moved to the Vancouver area, on January 5, 2003. I wish that someday, my son will be able to see me again, as I do miss him alot. Adam is now 18 years old, and lives with his mother, Gail, in Edomoton.
Update December 28, 2007.
Last December of 2006, Gail went into a coma, and wasn't expected to pull through. I want back to Edmonton to take care of Adam, and possbly preapir him for the worst and to bring him back to Vancouver if the need arised. Fortunatly by the grace of god, Gail pulled through and came back home in mid January of 2007. Adam and I spent that Cristmas together for the first time in 3 years. It would have been much better if the circumstances were better. There is a neighbour of Gail's and a very good friend to her, by the name of Dianne. An angel in disguise. On the way to Edmonton that snowy day, I stepped off the bus in Jasper, Alberta, and slipped and broke my ankle. I had to ride the rest of the trip to Edmonton, in an ambulance and was admitted to the Royal Alexandrea Hospital. After a few days I was released and went to spend the time with Adam. Dianne helped me with my broken ancle and helped with takeing care of Adam, and not even ask for anything in return. Dianne is one of the rare good people in this world. God bless her.
