Bernice Demers, Our Mother's Page

July 10, 1920 - December 11, 1998

        Our Mother was born in the town of Trenton, Ontario on July 10, 1920. She grew up with a hard life during the depression, and through World War II.

        She met our Father Paul, In Trenton, when he was stationed there, at CFB Trenton, Then known as No. 6 Repair Depot, for the Canadian Air Force. They married, and started our family, as you see it on the portrats page of this site.

        Mom passed away on December 11, 1998. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which eventually claimed her life.

         Mom and Dad were married for 55 years, at that point and were both very much in love with each other, and our mother had just as much love for us, as she did for him.

         Mother passed away of a brain toumor, in North Vancouver's Lions Gate Hospital, On December 11, 1998.

        Dear Mom I heard a harp playing today

        I was thinking of you as the misic bagan to play

        For on this day of December eleven

        Was the day our Lord God Called you to heaven

        I know you are with me and watching over me

        But my heart is empty of your physical presence with the

        Dad is with you now and I know you are both together

        So in the mean time I'll think of you no matter the weather

        It was three years today

        That God called you away

        The harp that played for you that December day

        Played once again for you today
