Chapter 4: Defeat~ Geoffrey Mcfadden
Ray quickly took a defensive stance to avoid the attack as best as he could but the attack was too powerful for him to defend against as each asteroid hit the ground with force that shook the earth violently and covered the entire battle field in a cloud of dust. Tai and the others watched as they prepared for the worse "Ray........no......" Kari cried as Tai tried to comfort her by hugging her. Tai watched the dust clear and to his and everyone’s surprise Ray was standing strong fully healed and ready to fight round two with his sister. "WHAT?.......YOU BRAT YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!!" Sara shouted as Ray drew his sword "Enough talk" Ray Said as he charged at a control spire behind Sara. "YOU'LL NEVER DISTROY THAT SPIRE HA HA HA" Sara shouted as Ray jumped high into the air and slashed at the spire as he fell from the sky. after hitting the ground Ray just kicked the spire as it fell in half and dissolved. "OK NOW DIGIVOLVE AND QUICKLY!!" Ray shouted as all the digimon digivolved to the ultimate level to face off agenst Sara."Darn I’ll get you next time you good for nothing brother" Sara cursed as she disappeared "SARA!!!....WAIT!!!" Ray shouted but Sara disappeared and Ray just fell to his knees and punched the ground. "DARN!" Ray shouted as Tai walked up behind him. As he did two figures walked up to them "Hey Tai how are you?" a girl with pink hair and all her clothes were pink "Mimi?!? How’d you get here?" Tai asked as everyone ran over to her and helped Ray to his feet. Another girl about 5 years old ran up to ray and hugged him tightly. "Daddy you had us all worried" She cried as she buried her face into Ray’s chest as a digimon walked up to the gang "Hey what gives? No thanks for me saving him?" The wooden digimon asked as T.K. walked up to the puppet digimon "PUPPETMON? Wha?!?" T.K asked as the little girl walked up to T.K. "You be nice to Puppetmon he’s my best friend and my partner" The kid explained as everyone all looked shocked "Yeah I defected so now Piedmon is trying to recruit new dark masters" Puppetmon explained as the group headed over to the near by oasis. "Wait you’re a father at your age Ray?" Tai asked as Ray hugged his daughter. "Well I adopted her when she was two" Ray admitted as everyone started to catch up on old times and on what’s been going on Ray still didn’t explain why he had a grudge agenst Piedmon, all attempts were blocked with either Ray changing the subject or him not answering at all, they talked until Kari noticed it was getting late everyone else headed home leaving Ray, Kari and Mariline with their digimon partners alone at the oasis. Ray didn’t sleep as much as Kari did that night but after he gave Kari and Mariline his coat to blanket them he went to sleep.
