Chapter 1:Geoffrey Mcfadden
It was once a beautiful day out in a remote mountain town. It was isolated and peaceful but strange events will disrupt that peace as a young boy and teenaged girl walked home as it begain to rain. It was raining very hard both were soaked in seconds as they ran home to get out of the rain, But the young boy tripped on a shoelace and fell into a mudpuddle. "Ray, are you ok?" The teenage girl asked as she turned around to help the young boy. "Yeah, I guess so thanks Sara." Ray said as he got back up to his feet and brushed off as much mud from his clothing as he could as Sara giggled at the sight of the drenched and muddy Ray, "You look like a drowned rat Ray" Sara giggled as Ray smirked "Your no better" Ray pointed out as they proceded to head home, But an evil force wanted to prevent the two from getting home....alive. "OH GOD WHATS HAPPENED?" Sara cried as she and Ray saw what was a horrible sight. Their house was on fire and their parents layed murdered on the front step. "MOM, DAD!"Ray shouted as he ran over to them but a sword came flying out of nowhere and stopped Ray from getting any closer as a clown-like monster descended from the sky laughing evily "YOU! WHY? I'LL DEFEAT YOU!" Ray shouted as him and Sara got ready to fight the mysterious monster "I AM PIEDMON A DIGIMON FROM ANOTHER WORLD YOU CAN'T DEFEAT ME" he spoke laughing as Ray charged at him "EAT THIS 'FLAME STORM'!" Ray shouted as he let lose a fury of flames that all hit Piedmon. "My turn 'LIGHTNING STORM'!" Sara chanted as huge danceing bolts of lightning hit the attacking Digimon harshly but not even scratching him "My turn 'TRUMP SWORD'" Piedmon shouted as he tossed a blade at Ray but Sara put herself in front of it at the last second as Ray watched helplessly as Sara gave her life to save his. "NOOO!SARA WHY DID YOU Have ...to....do..that" Ray stammered as he cryed while Piedmon walked over to Ray. "Now i'll distroy you myself" Piedmon said as he took out a sword and slashed Ray in the left eye causeing him to fall backwards over a cliff down a ravine swallowed up by the earth that he loved so dear.
.......Ten years have past and Ray has grown up into a teenager and has meet some wonderful friends. Richard was his best friend since they were both in the army and John was more of a brother to Ray the trio looked out for one another. Ray did fall in love with a girl named Odessa but she died her sister Agrias wanted revenge for something she couldn't control. Ray was working as a bodygard for hire but everyone else called him a mercinary. This new job required Ray to travel all the way to Japan and Ray was now in his room he woke from a nightmare the memory of how his life was ruined. "Gawd that dream haunts me like a bad memory." Ray sighed as a girl in her early 20's barged into Ray's room. "Bout time you woke up your plane leaves in three hours." She nagged as she went over to Ray's window to open the covers. "Aeris there is a thing everyone does called knocking. Maybe you should try it sometime." Ray yawned as Aeris ignored him. "Well hurry up you don't want to miss your plane." Aeris nagged as Ray threw a pillow at her but missed as she ran out the door. "Man that Aeris" Ray moaned as he got ready changeing into some dark clothes and dyed his brown hair black he wore a ring and pendent that he aquired as a death wish by his late girlfriend. Ray was ready and was now comeing down the stairs to a full breakfast spred in front of him prepared by Aeris who was smileing at him as she layed his breakfast in front of him, "Thanks,But I could've gotten my own" Ray suggested as Aeris sat down to eat. "No, I like doing this it makes me feel needed you know" Aeris sighed with a dreamy look in her face. "Oh brother" Ray sighed as he ate his breakfast as he looked around the room. "Hey, wheres your Mom and Mariline?" Ray asked as Aeris took a sip of tea. "They went to the "shrine" today to throw you a going away party" Aeris explaned "What about the one we had last night?" Ray asked as he took an asperin for a hangover. "Next time don't let Richard mix your drinks." Aeris advised with a sigh. "Yeah i'll remember that next time" Ray gumbled as he finished his meal. "Come on lets go you can drive my car." Ray gave Aeris a sceptic look. "What?" Aeris asked as Ray smerked "Your sure about that?" Ray asked makeing sure that what he had heard was correct. "Yes, why?" Aeris asked sounding hurt. "Well you don't let your own mother drive your car, so why are you letting me drive it?" Ray pointed out as Aeris scratched her head "Because Mom took your car because hers was in the shop." Aeris pointed out. "Also your a safer driver" she added as Ray gave her a sceptic look.
Meanwhile at the shrine Ray's friends and Family were gathering to see Ray off on his journy. "So when is he getting here?" A tall teen asked. "When Aeris gets him out of bed" A little girl pointed out "Yeah like thats a walk in the park" Another teen pointed out "Oh save it you know it'll take a merical to get him to come here willingly" A girl scolded. "Now Richard and John you both know him the most" An older woman pointed out "Yeah so.." John said as he checked out his gun. "Dude can't you stand a few hours without your gun?" Richard asked as John gave him an evil stare. "Hey cool it or else this party will really have a bang in it." Ray called to his friends. "PAPA!!" the little girl shouted jumping into Ray's arms. "Whoa Mariline you've grown" Ray complemented as his Daughter jumped down and ran over to Aeris's mother. "Sorry i'm late" Ray apologised as everyone gathered. "No prob" Richard asured him as the others gathered to give Ray their opinion on his look. "Hey I like the way I look besides it does pay the bills" Ray pointed out as everyone laughed. John started to look around "Hey Richard didn't you invite that girl with pink hair?" John asked as Richard turned to him. "Oh yeah I did but.."His voice trailed off. "But...what?" John asked as Richard pulled out a note. "She wanted me to give this to Ray" Richard explaned as John sighed "Dude just because Ray can use magic is no reason to be afraid of him" John pointed out. "HEY! I AM NOT!!" Richard yelled out defencively "Umm something up?" Ray asked as Richard handed Ray the note. "Oh it's from Mimi lets see it says that one of her friends is going to be on the same plane as me and she will meet me at the airport" Ray read out to the others. "Come on you know it's an hour drive to the airport lets get going." Aeris nagged as Ray went over to the stone statue that marked the place where his first love rested. "Odessa" was all that Ray could say as he went to the car as everyone wished him luck and a safe journy. On the way to the airport it was pretty quiet as Aeris droped Ray off she called out to him "Don't worry she'll be in good hands" "Thanks" Ray called back as he entered the airport.
"RAY YOUR HERE!!" a girl with pink hair called out as she tackled him to the ground. "Mimi you should've joined the football team with tackles like yours" Ray groaned as she helped him up. "How have you been?" Mimi asked Ray who was gathering his things. "Oh can't complane of course no one will listen any way" Ray joked it was a bad joke but Mimi still giggled from it. "So wheres your friend?" Ray asked "Oh she is still getting her ticket HEY you should get going you don't want to miss your flight" Mimi pointed out "Yeah ok see you when I get back" Ray called as he ran for the gate and his plane. A teenage girl walked up to Mimi "who was that?" She asked as Mimi smiled "Oh no one just a friend" Mimi told her the girl sighed "Boy your something you know that" The girl pointed out "Hey come on Kari you should get on your plane" Mimi pointed out "OH YOUR RIGHT" Kari shouted as she ran in the same direction as Ray. "Oh boy there they go maybe Aeris is going a little too far with this" Mimi sighed to herself as she left.
Meanwhile on the plane Ray got his seat and was now reading a book when a flightattendent walked up to him "Excuse me sir is anyone sitting with you at this time?" She asked "Nope no one is sitting beside me" Ray told the Flightattendent. "Would you mind if she sat next to you?" she asked him Ray looked at the girl she looked almost excatly like him "Umm...sure she can sit here" Ray stammered. "Good now be good" The flight attendent giggled as she left "Oh man" Ray sighed as the girl giggled as she sat down next to him "Don't worry I wont do anything bad" The girl teased. "So who are you?" Ray asked hopeing to change the subject. "I'm Kari Kamiya from Japan who are you?" Kari asked as she shook Ray's hand "My name is Ray" Ray introdused himself as Kari gave him a scepic look but was afraid to say any thing.
