Hallway to hell

This hallway was really cool. If you look close enough, you can see the strobe lights in the ceiling. A really cool effect. I made the hallway out of PVC piping and I had an area for an actor to walk through the wall. With all of the lights off, the room looked incredible. The strobe lights added a lightning effect to the room. It was really neat.

Your exit

This little room was pretty scary. We had all four walls covered in black plastic and the entrance and exit were also covered. The exit was also covered with a door. We chained fog in the room and built a fake door towards the end of the hallway. The hallway scared the crap out of people because it was completely dark. We gave each group about 2-3 minutes before we assisted them with the door. After that, I would chase them down the driveway with the chainsaw. For those who care, I hid inside the hallway up against the front wall. People would pass me right by on their way in and not even notice I was there. The road horses that you see at the bottom of the picture were also another big accomplishment of mine this year. Each one has a different part of the name of the haunted house on it. So they read 13 steps to misfortune on the bottom and they formed a triangle. The SHPP stands for Spooky Haunt Productions Presents. The batteries to the lights seemed to work so that impressed me. At night it looked pretty cool.

The Graveyard

The graveyard was really cool. We had fog, 2 police lights, 3 strobe lights, and four flood lights (3 green and 1 red). Although this picture doesn't show much of the graveyard, it gives you an idea of what it looked like. There are two sides to the graveyard. 1 side is the actual graveyard and the other side is the control area for the lighting. We had everything on switches. That way, as soon as the people stepped on to the path, we hit the switch for the police and strobe lights and then turned off the green floodlights. I recommend this tactic for anyone designing a scene that involves light changing. Also, I recommend using green floodlights in your graveyard to set the tone of the scene. It really makes the yard stick out.
