LAUNDRY SET-UP
- Before making a lay-out, study first the applicable work flow based on the space available and where the available stub-outs are located.
- After reviewing all the necessary requirements, you may now prepare the lay-out.
- Spacing in between of equipments is very important for maintenance purposes. There should be at least 20” free clearance between equipments.
- The space between the rear part of the equipment from the wall must be 1.5 meters to 2 meters, this will give enough space for servicing of unit.
- It is advisable that the equipments be elevated by about 3 inches from the flooring, in case accidental flooding occurs.
- Always set an individual circuit breaker for each equipment.
- Always separate colored fabrics from white fabrics.
- It is advisable that white fabrics be laundered in warm water, because, detergents reacts better in warm water.
- You may use chlorine bleach for white fabrics, but excess bleach will cause a yellowish color tint on your fabrics. Take caution in using this kind of bleach.
- For colored fabrics, it is advisable to add a little amount of oxygen bleach. This will enhance the color of your fabric.
- Always use fabric softener in your final rinse, it has a chemical that will neutralize the left-over alkali from your detergent. This excess alkali will cause a discoloration in your fabric as time passes by.
