Welcome to Rescue Hope!

UPDATE DECEMBER 6, 2010

Rescue Hope came into being during my first few years after graduating from veterinary school in 1996. I had big dreams back then, but life got in the way, and the dreams fell by the wayside. This website still stands, and we hope to resurrect our little nonprofit as time goes on, perhaps our dreams a little less grand, our enthusiasm a bit worn, but still with the same love in our hearts for our disenfranchised animals and the good people out there who are sacrificing so much as they scramble looking for forever homes wherever they can find them for the lucky ones who are lifted up and away from the melee. Please feel free to browse this antiquated site, I put a lot of work into it, loving every minute. I haven't even been back through it myself, I am sure the information may be out of date, no longer correct. Keep that in mind, especially if you are seeking medical information for your pet or other animal. We will be back soon, and will be giving the site a healthy makeover. Thank you, Virginia Woolverton, DVM

We do not yet have our 501-C-3, which is needed for any donations to be tax deductible. I set up this paypal account to learn how to do it, (and for future use) to help a college student set one up for a darling but sick stray that she has rescued. You can find out about this on "http://bjcanimalcruelty.angelfire.com/animals-in-urgent-need.html". We hope to become active in one of our original goals, to raise money to help defray the high cost of veterinary care for animals in rescue, donating funds to specific veterinarians for specific needs of approved rescue groups. We also hope to be working towards integrating humane education into our local, rural school system a step at a time and we will be glad to take donations for that. But wait until we have something going before you do. If you would like to be kept abreast of this effort, simply email your request to vwoolvertondvm@aol.com. Thank You!

If you have reached this page and would like to see this website in whole, copy this url into your browser: https://www.angelfire.com/ab3/rescue. Just remember, email addresses and stuff like that is out of date, as may be some of the medical information found within. We are currently working on upgrading and updating the website.
