Chapter One

The first chapter of our story draws to a close with Janelle once again restored to health, rescued from the mental torture of Elonanol by the combined efforts of Lothian (son of Janelle), his father Kovikin, Morgaine (daughter of Corwin), Alexander (son of Benedict and Janelle).

The difficulty in Arden was brought from the brink of war by the efforts of Lothian playing peacemaker between his father and Benedict that also carried over to Benedict and Julian. It is said that Stephan also had a hand in it before he left.

Stephan also married the beautiful Stephanie, a young lady of great beauty that he found while in Shadow. They happy couple left Amber to make a life together with the blessings of the Crown. Ana and the Unicorn were in attendance at the ceremony, as well as all of the Royal family. Even Fiona finally showed back up.

Having had enough of the weirdness, Dylan returned to his native Ireland with Giselle, a castle employee that had been brought to Amber years before by Random. At last report, they were touring, with Giselle enjoying herself immensely with all the new subjects to immortalize on her canvas.

Brenna, daughter of Caine, left after a visit to Arden to Michael and went to visit her home Shadow. After not hearing from for too long for her peace of mind, Petra asked Gerard to go check on her. Gerard sadly reported back that Brenna's keep had been gutted by fire, there were odd markings of a mystical nature on the gates in blood, and Brenna's body was discovered in the ashes. It has been verified as being Brenna. Gerard's autopsy left him shaken but he will only state that she was dead before the fire. The Forbidden City declared a two week period of mourning for the death of the daughter of their founder.

Morgaine has since returned to guarding her father's Pattern in her role as Defender of Rue Argent after recieving a medal of commendation form Amber's Crown for her role in the rescue of the Queen and of the Shadow of Atlantis.

Sir Richard left Amber quietly during the celebrations of the Stephan and Stephanie's wedding. No word of his whereabouts are known.

Justin, the other son of Flora, has disappeared without a trace, vacating his court post without notice. The Queen Mother sighed heavily and noted sadly that perhaps it was for the best that he left before he had a total mental breakdown.

After discovering she was the daughter of Bleys and walking the Pattern, Serephine has gone off into Shadow to explore this new ability and the worlds it opens to her. At last report, she was quite happily learning new baking styles and subtilites in Cornaro.

Timothy has been quietly working more with his father as of late than in the guard. They have kept whatever they were working on to themselves.

When the wave of Pattern Energy swept out from the Primal Pattern, it did more than just make everything more intense, it brought with it a miracle. Eric, once King of Amber, awakened from death as healthy and alive as he ever was. Despite the fears of many, he has spent all his time reaccquainting himself with the Amber he always loved and the changes that have occured in the last 900 years and has never once set his sights of the Throne.
