SYLVIA BIVINS

I was in Mrs. Bivin's Family Living class during my Senior year in high school. Mrs. Bivins was one of the best teachers I ever had. She really cared about her students and got to know us as individuals.

I learned a lot in her class, some skills that I conveniently forgot, like ironing clothes, that came in handy years later. We did some cooking in her class and all sorts of fun things.

I'll never forget graduation night when Mrs. Bivins surprised me with the Family Living award. I appreciate her friendship to me all of these years.

A few years ago, Sylvia invited my family to stay at her cabin on Lake Malone. We were only there one night but we had a lot of fun and appreciated her hospitality.
