Career
He started out with Ajax (his only previous club) where he was a key member of the Amsterdam club's all-conquering team of the mid-nineties. A Dutch international and a true modern in his interpretation of the goalkeeper's art, Van der Sar even scored a penalty during the 1997/98 season. He is the first non-Italian goalkeeper in Juventus' history.

His hobbies include golf and playing cards. His favourite food is pasta. He enjoys going to the pictures. His favourite actor is Harrison Ford and favourite actress is Meg Ryan.
