Career

Dutch international Edgar Davids is a product of the famous Ajax youth system. His football is bang up to date. His athleticism and technical skills place him alongside the best midfielders in the world. He moved to Milan in 1996, but a broken leg sustained in a match against Perugia kept him out of the game for an extended period. He moved to Juventus in 1997 where he immediately became an indispensable player.

Along with Juve teammate Zinedine Zidane and other world stars, he took part in a Unicef campaign whereby a song was recorded to raise funds for young victims of war. Brandi is his favourite supermodel.

Ancelotti's view: "He is a complete midfielder, amongst the best in the world. He can, if necessary, also be deployed behind the forward-line."
