Summary: Tom and B'Elanna are married, and get some surprising and very
good news!
Time: This happens in about what would be the sixth season
My note: This is the first part of the series that I'm writing out of order. I'd like to thank the following, Ashley, Bobby, Bailey, Katie, Vanessa, (anyone I'm forgeting?) Stefie (Satan), and the rest of the Brady Bunch and God/Satan staff (don't worry, you aren't suppost to know what I'm talking about). So, anyway, I hope you all enjoy this story!!
Legal: Everything that you see on TV is Paramounts, everything else is mine. I am NOT getting any money for this and I promise to return Voyager and it's crew in the same condition I found them.
B'Elanna Torres-Paris yawned and rolled over to see if her husband was awake yet. Tom was still fast asleep and slightly snoring. B'Elanna smiled, 'I should record this as evidence.' She thought to herself. She and Tom had been married for about four months and she had already discovered one of his bad habits, snoring. She rolled over onto her side and tried to get back to sleep, but the noise was to loud. Finally, she sat up and plugged his nose. Tom snorted and woke up with a start. "You were snoring." B'Elanna said, grinning.
Tom glared at her, partly out of amusement, partly out of annoyance. "I don't snore." He said.
"Okay, then you'd better go to Sick-bay, because you've got a moose up your nose, dear." B'Elanna teased, plugging his nose again. He grabbed her by the waist and flipped her on her back. She laughed, and grabbed him around his neck. Suddenly, she felt sick to her stomach. She got, and up made a mad dash for the bathroom.
"Are you sure you're all right?" Tom asked as the couple left their quarters.
"Tom, I'm fine." B'Elanna said, rubbing her eyes. She felt worn down, which was not good, because she had a long day ahead. "I'll see you for lunch, okay?"
"Okay. Are you sure you're okay?" He frowned.
"For the last time yes!" She sighed. "I've got to get to engineering. Bye." She stalked down the corridor.
"Okay, see you at lunch!" He walked in the opposite direction.
In Engineering B'Elanna sighed, and rubbed her head. She had a splitting headache. "Carey! Vorik! What the Hell is making that noise!"
They glanced at each other. "What noise?" Carey asked.
She gave them both her ice-melting glare. "That ringing."
"I suggest you go down to Sick-bay. My superior Vulcan ears detect no sign of any noise as you just described." Vorik replied with his usual Vulcan tone.
B'Elanna glared at him even more. "No. I'm fine. Run a diagnostic and find out what that noise is!" She yelled. Then she noticed her staff staring at her. "What!?" She shouted. "This isn't a show people! Get back to work!" She shouted at them. She then stalked off to her office.
Shortly after, Tom walked in. He looked around for B'Elanna. "Hey, Joe, where's B'Elanna?" He asked.
Joe Carey glanced up, and pointed to B'Elanna's office. "Be careful." The engineer warned, and went back to work.
Tom shrugged and went to see B'Elanna. When he got there B'Elanna was bent over a console. "Damn!" She shouted slapping the console.
"Hi. Not having a good day?" Tom asked. 'Yellow alert' he thought, 'B'Elanna's in a bad mood.'
B'Elanna gave him a glare, and said, "What do you-" but was cut off. She suddenly got sick again, all over the floor.
Tom looked from his wife to the floor, "That's it." He said, "You're going to sick-bay." He walked over and took her arm.
"But-" B'Elanna started to protest.
Tom raised his hand, "B'Elanna," he said, "look at the floor. We have a senior staff meeting in a hour, and I don't think the Captain would like it if you threw up all over the table." B'Elanna gave up and let Tom lead her to sick-bay.
In sick-bay the Doctor hummed as he worked. It was annoying the heck out of B'Elanna. "Would you please stop?" She asked.
The Doctor glared at her, but stopped. He continued scaning her. Finally, he finished. "All done." He announced.
"What's wrong with her Doc?" Tom asked, he had gotten permission to stay with B'Elanna.
"Nothing." Was his smug reply.
"Nothing?" B'Elanna snorted. "Then how do explain my throwing up in engineering?"
"Tell 'nothing' to those poor people who had to clean up that mess." Tom joked.
"I assure it's a very normal reaction to pregnancy." The Doctor told them.
Plop! Tom and B'Elanna's mouths fell open, and they stared at him as if he said that in ancient Bajoran. "Pregnant?" B'Elanna asked.
"About one month along." He told her. "Congratulations."
Tom's dazed look turned into a grin. He looked at B'Elanna. "We're going to have a baby!" He shouted.
B'Elanna grinned back and joined him in shouting and hugging. "Tom, our baby! Us. We're are going to be parents."
The Doctor interrupted at that point. "Actually," he said, "babies." The ancient Bajoran affect took over again. They stared at him. "Triplets, to be exact." He smiled at them.
They started celebrating again. Until the chirp of a comm-badge interrupted. "Janeway to sick-bay."
"Sick-bay here." The Doctor replied.
"Are you three planing on joining us at the staff meeting?" She asked.
"Sorry Captain. We'll be right there." Tom grinned at B'Elanna, "Should you tell them, or should I?"
8 Months Later
B'Elanna placed her hand on one of her daughters head. She turned to Tom, who was smiling at another infant in his arms. "We still haven't picked out names." She pointed out.
He looked at the quiet baby in his arms, "Let's name this one Elizabeth, Elizabeth Marie."
"Elizabeth?" B'Elanna asked, wondering where he got that name.
"I had an old friend on Earth named Elizabeth. She was an architect, and the only person who kept in touch with me at Auckland." Tom explained. "I can't think of a better name for this one."
"The middle name is you mother's name, right?" B'Elanna asked.
Tom nodded. "Now, you have to name one."
B'Elanna thought for a minute. She looked down at the baby in her arms. "Let's name this little one Felicity, Felicity May. I had an old friend in the Maquis named Felicity, and she always talked about how beautiful her old home was in May."
Tom nodded again, "We still have one more." He pointed to the sleeping baby in the crib beside him.
They both thought for a minute then B'Elanna had an idea. "Tom, let's name her after the Captain. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't have these three angels, and we wouldn't even have met."
Tom smiled, "You're right. Kathryn Paris. Has a nice ring to it. Her middle name should be Louise."
B'Elanna agreed. "Kathryn Louise Paris. Let's just hope you aren't as weird as your Daddy." B'Elanna teased.
