My trip to Thailand

Welcome to my Thailandpage. As Thailand hasnīt had an album on my website so far,so I decided to make one. After all my trip to Thailand was one of my favoritetrips abroad. Really loved the country of smiles and sunshine. I went with my sister and my parents in December 1998 and we got back to Sweden in mid January 1999. So we spent New Year there as well. It was amazing spending New year, in a warm climate, saying "Sawa dee bee mai", to everyone! That means "Happy New Year" in Thai. We stayed at Peach Hill at Kata Beach, Phuket island. It was so beautiful, nice nature, humid heath, friendly people etc. At Kata we mostly went to the beach etc, just relaxing etc. We also went to Karon beach, and my sister even went to Patong. The beach was lovely and the water crystle clear. We also went 2 days to Bangkok , which was just lovely, went on a boatcruise on the river in Bangkok, went to see the golden Buddha and the Grand Palace, Rose gardens with itīs beautiful surroundings. At Rose gardens, I even got to hold a huge snake around my neck. That cured my fear towards snakes! There we saw thai dances, thai boxing, elephantshows etc. and we also went to the floating market. I loved every day of thos journey. In Bangkok we stayed at Ramada Tawana Hotel, which was absoluteley luxious. We flew Thai airways between Phuket and Bangkok. When we came back to Phuket, we kept relaxing again, getting massage at the beach, swimming etc, I made a tattoo on my right upper arm in form of a shark. We also partied with the friends we made there. My sister got to know some girls working in a bar, and we went there every evening to have drinks and talk to them. They were very nice. So I want to let you watch my pictures now. Leaving you with a "Khap khun khap", which "Thank you" is called in Thai. Also want to thank my mom who paid this trip for me! Love you so much!

A candle for the Tsunami victims

Finally the candle above is burning for all the people, mainly for the Thai people and Swedes who died in the Tsunami catastrophe on dec 26, 2004 as they were the most numerous nationalities who died in this catastrophe. But of course the candle is burning for the other nationalities who died as well. Donīt hesitate to go to Thailand. Something as extensive as the Tsunami wonīt happen again during our lifetime, so donīt be afraid visiting Thailand. It is a lovely tropical country with smiles where ever you go. /Andy
