Definately the best ep so far this season. I think we can all accept as absolute truth that Spike rocks. I hope he and Dru come back soon. Hear he's a regular next season, so maybe there is life after Angel.
Just on that note, don't he and Buffy have tremendous sexual tension?! Remember how great they were together in Becoming 2? Now if it wasn't for how much I adore Angel....
Most classic scene was when Spike was doing vampire charades next to Joyce while Angel looked on in desperation. Loved it when Buffy invited Angel in her authoritative tone. Yeah, go Buff, you let him in, your partner in slayage. They are sorta workmates, huh? I can't seriously believe she would habe killed Spike though, right? I mean... it's *Spike*: they've been through so much together. Loved his insults to Angel though: "your poof" ROTFL!!
I'm still trying to grasp the change in the B/A relationship though. It's like Angelus was a totally different person, because everyone treats Angel so differently. Weird feeling.
Loved the pissed off looks Angel and Buffy were giving Spike throughout their journedy down his memory lane! OH, Dru just does not deserve him!
How awful is Buffy being to Angel?! He was in utter despair at the end. She leaves him because he loves her. Ooo, big crime. That was way harsh how she said "you can never give me what I want". Geesh, the man's feeling depressed enough about himself, ever heard of sensitivity? Yeah, I know, she's just trying to close her heart against him so he can't hurt her anymore. But she's his world; he needs her now more than ever. I mean, he was always so eager for her to stay with him. What she did was just plain cruel.
And speaking of cruel, Willow and Zander?! They have dramatically plummetted down in my esteem scale. Not to mention, ick! How could they?!! Liked the whole physical backstabbing of Cordelia - very clever, Joss. And poor Oz! After the pez and everything! Willow doesn't deserve him.
I was a bit put off by the montage at the end (too Ally McBealish), until I clicked to what it was purporting to. The camera showed each of the lovers in the throws of depression because they were denying their love. (Xan-Will, Ang-Buff). But then the mood breaks as we see Spike roaring off in his car to "I did it my way" blaring through the stereo. Now this guy's happy, and y'know why? Coz *he's* not denying his love - he's going out to get it. *He's* love's bitch, and proud of it. Woo-hoo!!!
