New friends~Chap 3

"I give up! I'm just not good at this game!" I shouted.

"Nah, you're good, but I'm THE MASTA!" Zac said, smiling a goofy smile.

"Oh, of course!" I said sarcastically. With that, Zac jumped off the couch and exited the room.

"Would you like something to drink?" He shouted from the other room.

"Sure!" I said. "Coke?" he asked. "k"..

As Zac was going through the fridge, Taylor entered the room.

"Gasp! If it isn't our lovely new next door neighbor!" He said, smiling. I blushed. " I'm Taylor," he said, offering his hand. I took it and said "I'm Adrian". "Well, well, well, looky what the cat brought in"Zac teased his brother (in a horrible try at a southern accent), handing me a glass of coke. "Hey Zac" Taylor said, flopping down on the couch next to me. I felt a little uneasy, as I normally did around boys. But for some reason, once we all got talking, that quickly went away, and I realized that a friendship was quickly forming between these new neighbors and I. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Hello?" I asked, picking up the phone.

"Well good morning lovely lady!" It was Zac and another one of his fake accents. I laughed. "Hey, whats up?" I asked. "Well, I was peaking over my fence, and I noticed that you guys got yourself a pretty damn big pool over there and I was wondering if you wanted help tryin' it out, ma'am." Zac said, continuing the conversation in a western accent. "Oh, sure! Sounds great! Come on over." I said happily. "K! Tay'll prolly tag along"

"Ok, so when should I be expecting you guys?"

"Half an hour?"

"Okeday, see you then!"

"K, bye!"

"Bye-bye!"

I hung up the phone and walked (errrrr danced) up the stairs to change into my swimsuit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The following weeks went by quickly. I became very close with Taylor and Zac. Life was great.

"Adrian, whatcha thinking about?" "Oh, just....nothing.." I said, looking over at Zac and smiling. "About how much you miss your friends?" He suggested. "No, actually, no like how living in Tulsa isn't as bad as I'd thought it would be" I said thoughtfully. Zac nodded, seemingly satisfied with my answer. Before an uncomfortable silence could ensue, Taylor came prancing out of my house frantically pulling at his attire. "Ok, how do I look?" He asked nervously, hesitantly sitting on the grass with us. "Umm..ok?!" Zac said, aparently not noticing that it was important to Taylor. Taylor whined, fidgetting with his outfit, "Aw, our little Taylors all grown up!" I said, pinching his cheek. "Adrian, you're NOT funny!" He said, trying to sound assertive. You see, Tays going to meet this girl at the movies, he must not be too experienced in the dating department because all day hes been driving everybody crazy! He even woke up at 5:30 to shower so his hair would be nice and dry for 6pm tonite! Well, silly me, while my mind was off thinking about how funny this was, Taylor was whining to me about something which i'd neglected to hear. But thats ok, if that happens, compliments work fine, right?? Wrong! "Adrian! You aren't listening....Are you listening?" Of course i wasn't listening. So I simply smiled, and tilted my head to the side "You're so pretty" I said pleasantly. Zac giggled, but apparently Taylor wasn't as amused.

"Adrian!" He half whined half yelled. And with that, he got up and stomped out of the yard. I looked at Zac to see if he thought what I had done was wrong. He just stared at me for a second then burst out laughing. I couldn't hold it in any longer and started laughing just as hard.
