Back in March of 2003 I worked with my Sunday School class in Eastern Kentucky and we performed a concert dressed in Goth/Punk style to try to draw the unchurched kids in. We figured if we were dressed that way then they would not feel uncomfortable with their own appearance.

At that point I had just recently heard about Christian Goths and was intrigued. I befriended The Lady Michaela of Christiangoth.com and we corresponded by email. She supported me in my efforts.

When I was falsely accused and persecuted at my church by some narrow minded people, Michaela was there for me, sending me emails encouraging me to hang in there and not lose my faith. She helped me through this dark time in my life and I will always be grateful to her for that.
