Work on your jumps in front of a mirror.

Make sure you know all the cheerleading terms. (ie: toetouch, rebound, blades, reload, etc.)

Find out how the try-outs are going to run. Meet with someone who has tried out for that team before. Where and when will tryouts be held? What do you need to bring? Anything you need to know?

Practice your splits even though you might not need them to try-out them will help you with your jumps, tumbling, and stunting.

Don't do anything to injure yourself. Now is not the time to try new (dangerous things) You can't tryout when your injured.
