The Power of a Star
A calm comes over my world,
Each little star in the night
One lonely star makes a move,
In bed I ponder what I see.
Once again, the night returns,
with it, comes the stars.
No longer does the warm sun burn,
only blackness with white scars.
the earth forgets to turn.
Watching a sky full of pearls,
a moment with no concerns.
get's it's chance to shine.
And, although they aren't very bright,
this is their only time.
it shoots throughout the night.
It's tail leaves a deep groove
as it takes it's final flight.
I'm wishing while I lie,
that one day I can be
a flickering star in the sky.
