Night Sky

A dark night sky
The only relief from the blackness
is a few shining stars
spread throughout space.

A meteorite
disturbs the still of the sky.
It's bright tail scars the night,
but only for an instant.

A calm,
falling over my world.
The silence of the stars
brings peace.
