Child
To live is
to catch falling snowflakes on your tongue,
to wiggle your toes in oozing mud,
to seep soft earth through your hands,
to hang form a tree like a monkey,
to jump into a pile of freshly fallen leaves,
to stand in the pouring rain and drink its sweetness,
to dash through a cold sprinkler,
to race down a hill without control,
to make angels in the snow,
to munch and crunch on a broken icicle,
to romp around in freshly fallen snow,
to lie outside and watch the dancing stars,
to be the child you know you are.
