Well Pat is retiring after all those years.  I met Pat when we were splicers on the same crew.  She was a good splicer.  But she moved on to the cush side of the plant.  As you can see she's indoors and you couldn't stuff her in a manhole with a whole rugby team helping you.  One thing Pat could never do was intimidate me.  She even tried to stop me from taking these photos.  Hah!  I say.  When I caught up to her she was busy helping to solve a problem so she was kind of forced to stand for these pics.  The people on the other end of the line were trying to convince her to work overtime to get the problem solved.  But she told them that she couldn't because the company had already cut her check and she wasn't allowed to add any time to it.  WHAT A LAME EXCUSE PAT!  All those years of taking a little bit extra on your lunches, you know, a minute here and two and a half minutes there.  It probably has added up to three weeks by now.  Help those guys out and stay and give a little back.  But seriously Pat, I'm with you ...  I'd be in retirement mode too.

I never knew Pat made faces while I talked with her on the phone.
