Bayfront Center, St. Petersburg, FL

Opening Act: Radiohead

This was my first real concert and it was a great show. I didn't get to catch much of Radiohead's act, but R.E.M. was great! It was part of the Monster tour. I went with my older brother and some of his friends

Jannus Landing, St. Pete, FL

This show was pretty good. I mainly went to see Sugar Ray and Mark McGrath (ok, I admit, I'm a groupie) but actually Goldfinger turned out to be my favorite. Save Ferris was pretty cool too. Sugar Ray was ok, this was back when their music was somewhat hard. Mark is hot but he's really arrogant. Jannus is an outdoor venue so we were able to get really close to the stage. I went with my best friend Leanne and her friend Shaun.

Ice Palace, Tampa, FL

Opening Act: Stabbing Westward

This was probably the best concert. We had pretty good seats, floor and 28th row which is close to the stage considering how big the Ice Palace is. I went with my older brother again (isn't he awesome?!) and his friends.

Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Tampa, FL

Opening Act: Steve Poltz

We only saw the last 2 songs of the opening act. Steve is an ex-boyfriend of Jewel and part of her touring band. He was funny and his songs were cool in a twangy, acoustic kind of way. Jewel of course was good. It took her awhile to come out, which was annoying, but she performed for about 2 hours and was rather energetic. It was nice how she talked to the audience and responded to some of the stuff people yelled out. I was surprised, she has a really cute and clever sense of humor. She also read one of her poems and she did a tiny bit of yodeling. Overall, a fun show. I went with Tim and Michelle.
