You'll need a site. It doesn't have to be about Pokémon though.
Don't alter the html at all enless you're adding or changing what I said you will need to add or change.
Don't treat you Pokémon badly! Stick it on your main page where everyone can see it, or on a adopted Pokémon Page where it will be around other Pokémon you have adopted! ^-^
At the bottom of each adoption page there will be html for you to copy and paste. You will have add a couple of things, like the name of the picture. There are examples of what to add into the html on the adoption pages.
How to copy and paste:
To copy the html highlight the html by holding down the left button on your mouse, and holding that button down while you move it over the html. Now right click the highlighted html and select COPY. Now go to your page, and click with your mouse where you want your Pokémon to be then go to EDIT on the top of your screen and select paste. It will paste all the html on to that spot. Now you just have to do the alternations I said you would need to do.
Some ideas, of what you can do with your adopted Pokémon, or trainer/character:
1. Your trainer/character, or Pokémon could be a greeter at your page.
2. They could be the protecter of your page.
3. A trainer or character could be the one that trains, or and looks after your Pokémon.
