Poetry From You

Untitled

A silent song

The mere thought of you

sterilizes my air,

clean antiseptic

that purifies an infected nigh of lonely bed,

naked body, companionless,

forced to perform soloto relieve the lusty pain.

Soft instrument attached to me

let me pull your strings

as I .... with him in mind

play myself

singing"a cappella"

... whispers only...

pleasure laments...

frantic outburst

sexual notes ...

the symphony

Kaleidoscope World

By Colleen Carroll

I am a simple girl,

I live in a Kaleidoscope World,

One by one that seasons change,

Shapes and colors rearrange,

If we stayed still we'd never grow,

Like a tulip trapped in the snow,

The wheel of life is sometimes kind,

We never forget what we leave behind,

Dreams are timeless works of art,

All dreaming is painted by the heart,

My Kaleidoscope World spins around,

It whispers in colors but makes no sound.

Chances lost of mine

Long after I disappear from your mind

My eyes look back into my head

and I see you

For there you lay asleep in my soul

Our meeting by chance and no other

I do not see the beauty on your face

I see chances lost of mine

Lack of action extends eternity

You are different

But no different from the others

Just another sleepless night

See you again I will

Yet by choice not chance

And I will not fall into your eyes

No sweet words will cross my mind

And I will regret nothing

Sleeping long into the night

This time you will wake me

And once again I will think of what may have been

And see chances lost of mine

UNCONDITIONAL

RON KINARD 12 OCT 99

STRIVING FOR ANOTHER DAY

EACH DAY SEEMS A LITTLE HARDER

TAKING ANOTHER STEP

EACH STEP SEEMS HARDER, AND HARDER

SOMETIMES EACH STEP SEEMS

IMPOSSIBLE

SOMETIMES, EACH DAY SEEMS

UNBEARABLE

HAVING THE COURAGE TO CONTINUE IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

GOING THAT EXTRA MILE

TAKING THAT ONE EXTRA STEP

NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT HURTS

TAKES YOU A LITTLE CLOSER TO SUCCEEDING

WALKING ALONG IN A JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE

EACH PERSON HAS THEIR OWN BURDEN TO BARE

REACH OUT, AND TAKE A HAND OF A FRIEND, SHARE THEIR BURDEN

WE WERE PUT HERE TO HELP EACH OTHER

ACCEPT THAT HAND, FEEL THE LOVE, BECOME A FRIEND

BY ACCEPTING THAT HAND, YOU COULD BE HELPING SOMEONE ELSE

TO HAVE A BETTER DAY, A BETTER LIFE, A BETTER EXISTENCE

LET THE CIRCLE COME COMPLETE, AND BE A FRIEND

Beautiful People

BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE ARE HARD TO FIND

THOSE THAT ARE REAL SINCERE AND KIND...

THE ONE'S - THAT'LL BE THERE

THROUGH LIFE'S - UPS AND DOWNS

THE LAUGHS THE SADNESS

THE SMILES AND THE FROWNS...THE PEOPLE THAT LENDAN

EXTENDING EARTO BE COMFORTING

TO ALL THAT THEY HEAR...TO BE WHO THEY AREWITH

NOTHING TO DOUBT

THAT'S WHAT " BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE "ARE ALL ABOUT.

HER

by Dean Brooks

Her eyes are two portraits of a cloudless sky,

Her nose is a tiny dab of vanilla ice cream,

Her lips are two gleaming wet strawberries freshly picked,

Her teeth are molded ivory chiseled by a careful sculptor,

Her hair is sunlight that never fades away at night time,

Her cheeks are egg shells of the purest white,

Her face is a virtue I adore.

Her neck is the cup of water the thirstiest man desires,

Her breasts are the bread a starving man longs for,

Her legs are goddesses I bow before to,

Her prime is an icicle I could melt in my mouth,

Her face is a virtue I adore.

Waiting

waiting for somebody or something

or do you really know

wondering why they haven't called

called upon

been called upon

just waiting

for the love of your life

to walk through that door

or inspire your phone to ring

dispair sets in and you know

it will not come

not if you wait

it is waiting for you too

there is only one thing to do

cease to wait any longer

search

don't wait

you aspire

and desire

but the fire

will never burn without the wood

stop waiting

I Want. . .

I want to feel heaven smile upon me,

I want to know that there's no one else like me.

I want to feel the warmth of the sun,

I want to know that I'm the only one.

I want to feel a strong embrace,

I want to know the look of happiness on a face.

I want to feel love, I want to know love. . .

I want you!

I've Waited For You

by Kit Gilchrist copyright June 1999

I know I can't hear from you often.

The knowledge isn't saving - only softened

Your time is spent in varied ways

Your life beyond me is resolute

I am but a portion of the life you lead

A moment in time you race to full speed

But time stands still for me

As I wait until you power down

From family obligations in and around

The most important tasks

Until and finally at last

I cross your mind in suspended time

And you think on me when you are free

The telephone rings or you knock at my door

It is then you can love me

Yes, it is what I've waited for.

Saphire

Bright blue, almost glowing.

Radiant eyes, always knowing.

Life and energy flowing free,

Spirit soaring over the calm sea.

Flash of power, energy and life.

Always doing everything in strife.

Will of steel and heart of gold,

This is the story as it is told.

Seconds change the very source,

Nothing there,

time has run its course.

No bright blue sparkling saphire eyes,

Just my tears,

as her heart quickly dies.

Then it is remembered a ring she had aquired,

She had grown fond of and often admired.

The ring was bought for cheaper than the box,

She cleaned it up and looked harder at the rocks.

The ring that use to be dirty and dark,

Now was brighter than the brightest spark.

Bright blue and shining, surrounded by diamonds.

A Saphire jewel  sent down from the heavens.
