In August 2007; Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers broke into the boundary of Sadhantila Buddhist Temple in Dighinala and began erecting houses inside the temple boundary.

Bangladesh army torture 3 indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Dighinala

On 20 December 1986, Subedar Kasim of Bangladesh army from the army camp at Babu Chara, subjected 3 indigenous Chakma Buddhists to severe physical torture at Babu Chara in Dighinala, Khagrachari district. The victims are:

1. Mr. Sonagulo Chakma (18 yrs), son of Mr. Purnendu Chakma of Noonchari Chowdhury Para, Babu Chara, Dighinala.
2. Mr. Bangalichan Chakma (32 yrs), son of Mr. Dev Kumar Chakma, address as above.
3. Milabo Chakma (12 yrs), daughter of Mr. Nolini Ranjan Chakma, address as above.
