On 21 December 2012 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers raped and killed Thomaching Marma (14 year) of Baradulu village under Kaukhali. On that day she went to bring back family's cows from nearby forest. The Muslim settlers raped and killed the Buddhist girl when they found her alone in the forest.

Bangladesh army rape indigenous Buddhist women in Khagrachari

On July 7, 1986, Major Sharif and Subedar Akhtar of 30th EBR from the army camp at Betchari Mukh, raided the Chakma village of Betchari Mukh, P.S. Khagrachari, with their troops.

Bengali Muslim settlers of Betchari Mukh after setting fire on their own houses reported to the army commander that the Shanti Bahini had attacked them. This was totally ill motivated against the innocent indigenous people to uproot them from their ancestral land through conspiracy and collusion.

The army personnel came with vengeance and created reign of terror including rape of indigenous women. Names of the victims are given below:

1. Uday Chandra Chakma, 32 yrs, son of Kaviraj Chakma, of Betchari Mukh, P.S. Panchari, was severely beaten for being unable to give them information about the Shanti Bahini.
2. Manoranjan Chakma, 38 yrs, son of Rizav Chandra Chakma, address as above, was falsely accused of giving donations to the Shanti Bahini and severely beaten with sub machine gun.
3. Palokya Chakma, 20 yrs, son of Dinabasu Chakma, address as above, was severely beaten. While being beaten by the soldiers, he was asked when he joined the Shanti Bahini, when did he undergo training in the Shanti Bahini, etc. He was made senseless due to severe beating.
4. Ramkrishna Chakma, 30 yrs, son of Kali Mohan Chakma, address as above, was severely beaten by the army personnel who falsely charged him as a member of the Shanti Bahini.
5. Chibachogi Chakma, 14 yrs, daughter of Kalo Chakma, address as above, was raped by the soldiers.
