Bangladesh army force Islam on indigenous Buddhist inhabitants in MohalchariOn 28 January, 1986, Bangladesh army of 13 East Bengal Regiment from Kyang Ghat camp led by Captain Bayzid surrounded the village of Krishna Chara Para in Mohalchari, Khagrachari district at 04:00 hrs. Bangladesh army forced the indigenous Buddhist inhabitants to come out of their houses and assembled them in a field near by. Motivated by Islamic zealotry Captain Bayzid ordered the indigenous Buddhist inhabitants to learn Islamic prayer with these words: "ALLAH-HU—AKBAR". All the people had to pray in chorus for three times. After this they were asked to embrace Islam and told if they embraced Islam they would be given moneytary help and beautiful mosques would be built for them. If they did not embrace Islam then they better go to India. Captain Bayzid said- "There is no room for Kafirs (infidels of Islam) in Bangladesh. People of CHT are Kafirs.
