Sarah had sent Dan a dozen roses to work. She had planned a special evening. She waited and waited, but he never made it home. He had an automobile accident on his way home. After Dan's funeral, Sarah went to look at the car. She found one of the roses on the passengers seat. Dan's auto accident was 10/31/1990 and died several days later, never regaining conscious.
