Thank goodness, summer is finally over. It is much quieter around here now.
Sometimes I miss Doug, my main Person, he is back in school now. Of course, I always have Cookie to take away my lonliness.
I wonder what the difference is between Timothy hay and Alfalfa hay? (Hmm, why do I always talk about food??)
I like the taste of Alfalfa, but Timothy is much better. One of my People works at a zoo. The zoo uses Timothy hay for many of their herbivorous animals.
Maybe Cookie and I should go back on the internet and find out if there is a difference, other than taste.

Did you all think I had forgotten about my diary? I have been a little bit busy and I apologize for my absence.
Yesterday was quite a thrilling day for me...I managed to escape!
Doug was just about to leave for school. When he came into his room to get his back-pack, he could hear me squeaking like a rubbed balloon. When he checked the cage, I wasn't in there. Just Cookie, all alone,
wondering why I had abandoned her. I had managed to get way at the back, underneath Doug's bed. It was really cool under there. He has the neatest toys.
I was just about to climb inside his "sounds and lights" ambulance when his Mom came in and played the dirtiest trick you could imagine.
She got down on hands and knees, talked to me in a soft voice, and teased me with a handful of Alfalfa hay.
Well, I couldn't resist. Out I came, purring all the time. As soon as I took my second sweet mouthful of hay, she scooped me up and had me back in our enclosure
before I could say "Spinach Breath".
Lately, I have been getting a few emails from people who have visited my pages and they want a link back to theirs. The list of links on Piglet's Page
is getting quite extensive. I think I may make another page with nothing but links on it. Please feel free to ask to have your page added. I only ask that the page be child-friendly,
including any links that might be on the page.

I escaped again *wink*. Of course I can't tell you my secret, then my People would know. I think they have my route figured out though. My main house is quite large, especially built for guinea pigs.
But, I have a second room that is attached to the main one with a piece of pipe. The second room is not quite as well built as the first.
My People have started to put books on the roof so I can not push it up with my nose. I'll show them! I just can't wait to take a ride in that ambulance I told you about!
I must get out again. That would be so much fun. I could quietly drive up behind one of the cats and as soon as I was right in back of them I could turn on the siren full volume!
Hehehe..well, I must run along and finalize my plans.
October 2/99
My plans for escape have been foiled. My People got us a new encloseure. Now there is no hope of ever seeing the outside world unless someone takes us out.
Our two-piece house has been taken away and now we have a very large single enclosure. It is very nice and there is lots of room for us to run around.
We even have a huge ball to play in. But, I was looking forward to riding in that ambulance. Scaring the cats would have been a dream come true. I'll have to think of a new plan.

I love our new house!
There is so much room to run and lots of neat things to climb on. The brick does wonders for my toenails.
Cookie seems to be coming out of her shell. Was beginning to think that she might be a turtle! She is becoming much more vocal
and is not so afraid of being petted. I think we have been very good for one another. She has taught me the joys of a good diet, and I have taught her how to let loose and have some fun.
January 2000
We made it to the millenium!!! Christmas was hectic but fun, we got a nice new "Pigloo". It is a plastic igloo and we fit inside quite nicely. My diary may be on hold for awhile, Doug has been quite busy and he has surgery coming up soon.
Take care everyone, and I will update this when I can.
