WRISTCUTTERS: A LOVE STORY -- ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK RELEASED BY LAKESHORE RECORDS
  • Consumer information Soundtrack features original music by Bobby Johnston and songs by Gogol Bordello, Joy Division, Del Shannon, Gram Parsons, and Artie Shaw (November 20, 2007- Los Angeles, CA) - Lakeshore Records released the original motion picture soundtrack for WRISTCUTTERS: A LOVE STORY on October 30, 2007. The soundtrack features original music by Bobby Johnston (EDMUND, KING OF THE ANTS) and songs by artists including Gogol Bordello, Joy Division, Mushman and Screaming Lord Sutch.
  • BUY IT HERE Zia (Patrick Fugit), distraught over breaking up with his girlfriend, decides to end it all. Unfortunately, he discovers there is no real ending, only a run-down afterlife that is strikingly similar to his old life, only a bit worse. Discovering that his ex also offed herself, he sets out on a road trip, with his Russian rocker friend, to find her. Their journey takes them through an absurd purgatory where they discover that being dead doesn't mean you have to stop livin'. Composer Bobby Johnston's music has been featured extensively on the radio program "This American Life". Called "a new voice in film" by Film Score Monthly, his soundtrack for KING OF THE ANTS earned him critical praise in film music circles. In addition to the original music composed by Johnston, Gypsy punk band, Gogol Bordello, contribute three songs for the soundtrack.
