The power of 2
Another March is upon us. Among the least notable events in March is the anniversary of the founding of Dave's Site. It's hard to believe that my site is 2 years old already. Why, it seems like only yesterday that I first visited Angelfire and set up my account. Ahhhh.. the memories.
Fading Glory
Yes, my site was once cool. Or at least I thought it was. Now it certainly is not. Well, it never was. I just fooled myself for a little while. I'm over that now, though. If theres anything that I've learned from having a website the last 2 years, it's that having a website blows ass. Sure.. seeing your hit counter reach 1000 then 2000 is mildy exciting, but so is finding pennies at the bus-stop. The illusion of fun disappears quickly, especially if the pennies are soiled.
Dave's Pizza Place
I loved Dave's Pizza Place. But being the retard that I am, I accidently deleted one of the pages for it. And of course, it was the most imporant page. And no, I'm not REALLY going to open a pizza place downtown, so don't bother asking.
Guestbook Goings On
I would just like to thank everyone who signed my guestbook. Everyone except for Adam Rosenthal or 'Timber Koon' or 'Bob Wilson' or whatever he signed his name as. So, thanks to everyone who isn't Rosenthal. As little as I care about my site anymore, I still appreciate when people take time out of their ultra-busy schedules to sign my humble guestbook.
Superiority
I know my website sucks ass. I'm not trying to deny this fact or cover it up in any way. My site is, however, 1000x better than Fife Mischock's and Adam Rosenthal's Digital Doorway. This ludicrous waste of pixels and webspace is abominable. They have a message board that nobody but myself signs. They have a hidden links page with no links. They have about 15 polls, all of which suck ass. The best thing about their site is the link to my website. This fact is very sad.
Other
For the most part, I have stopped caring about my website. So has everyone else for that matter. Some people still go to my site apparently, because the hit counter keeps going up, even if very slowly. This is the first new page I've added for like 6 months. There's more important things in life than shitty websites. Oh, boo hoo. My site sucks. I don't care. Never did, don't, and never will.
A Final Thought
Two years since I started my website. Two years wasted. Bad grades, trouble with the law, lack of a life, and an inability to get chicks have been the main theme of these years. But that's the way it goes. Soon I will graduate from high school, go on to college, blah blah blah. Well folks, I hope you've enjoyed this little trip down memory lane as much as I have. Peace out and remember to shave the whales, pave the rainforest and only burn tires on Sunday. Yes, that's right - I'm an environmentalist.
