The day of the 5ive interview dawned bright and clear. Armed with seven thousand questions that had poured in via e-mail to the official 5ive web-site, we fought our way through the Leeds and London rugby fans to Wembley Stadium, where the band were performing the half time show at the Rugby league Silk Cut Challenge Cup Final in front of 70,000 people. Listening to the sound-check whilst being escorted up the royal stairs (only used by royalty!!), our recording team couldn't believe their luck - we were to be interviewing one of the most popular bands in the world at Britain's most famous sporting venue.
It was such a fantastic day we wanted to share the experience with everyone, as it was immediately apparent that 5ive adore their fans, and would have loved them to be there too. We hope that we have captured some of the atmosphere of that day in this interview.

five have pulledo ut of the 30 date us tour they were going to do with nsync this summer. but why? did ja dn pineapple have a big scrap over who had the best beard? er, no, but when we caught up with scott, he gave us the real deal.
"its a couple of reasons really", he chirped. "We're working hard on the second album right now, and we wanted to do one thing properly rather than two not very well. plus, we always said from the beginning that we'd never support another act - so we woke up to ourselves and decided that doing the tour would go against that."

Five were staying at a hotel in Dublin.
Rich was just getting out of the shower when a man came in his room and told him
to get out because there was a fire.
Rich thought it was an alarm, so gathered his things and went outside. Outside he saw Abs and Scott. It turns out, Abs and Scott didn't put a match out in their room properly, and the whole room went up in flames. Abs has got minor burns on his hands, and both of them are suffering from inhaling too much smoke.Other than that all's OK. (Thanks Natali for this!)
Five Fire Drama! (Taken from Top Of The Pops)
No.2 pop heroes Five were very lucky not to have become Three yesterday after a fire in a hotel room. Abs was celebrating the band's latest smash If Ya Gettin' Down by smoking acigar in bandmate Scott's bedroom at the Berkeley Court Hotel in Dublin, where the band are recording their second album. Apparently the match he used to light the cigar with was blown from the ashtray to the floor where it set fire to the hotel carpet and curtains! The numerical popsters rushed into the bathroom to soak some towels and put the blaze out, but ended up burning themselves on the flaming curtains. Firefighters arrived at the scene and quickly put a stop to the fire while Scott and Abs were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and minor burns. They were treated quickly and rejoined the rest of the band in England, ready to record this week's Top Of The Pops performance. Remember what they say about the dangers of smoking!

Scott's Secret Love!
"Hi, it's Scott from Five. I've decided the times right for me to talk about my girlfriend, and because I know you guys so well, I want to tell TV Hits about it...
-Basically, I don't think it's fair that me and Kerry have to keep hiding our relationship, and I think it's time to be truthful, to us and to the fans...It's nothing to do with Rich and Billie being found out. I've always wanted to tell everyone about Kerry cos she's my girlfriend and I love her loads, but it's never been the right time before and there's always been people telling me it wouldn't be good for me or the band. But to be honest, I don't think it should affect the fans. At the end of the day I love my job and would never do anything to jeopardize it. It's just everyone needs someone in their life so they're not lonely. If it does upset any fans, then I want them to know it doesn't affect the band at all. Yeah I'm in this group and I sing, appear in videos, and do this and do that, but you've got to have a life of your own. I just hope everyone will be happy for me and not be horrible about it to her or me. I've known Kerry for five years and she's from my hometown. I met her at this social club that my dad used to take me to. I always liked her, but never thought she liked me, which always held me back from asking her out. It was about Christmas '97 , when we'd just released "Slam", that I finally plucked up the courage to ask her out and I've been seeing her since Jan '98...I guess it's difficult because I'm away so much and we really miss each other, but we've got such a strong relationship and we've been through so much, more than most couples our age. If anything it's made us stronger. It's almost like we've got a point to prove. Nothing can come between us and no distance can keep us apart. We've got too much love for each other to throw it away...The last year and a half have been hard for her. She looks in all the magazines and there's me denying I have a girlfriend or just saying 'There's someone...' But she's not just someone. She's the person I love more than anything in the world, and I don't care what anyone says. I feel it's time I spoke about how I feel about her. I suppose we should expect some sort of backlash, but I hope people are reasonable about it. To be honest, when I'm at home there isn't one minute we're apart. Everyone sees us together all the time and I think it's beginning to look really stupid! She's the world to me, and now for the first time, I really know what love is. We've both been in relationships before, but this is the first person I've really, really loved, which is why I know it's going to work! The rest of the band are fine about it. Rich is absolutely lovely towards her and always takes the time to talk to her, and Abs is the same way, they get on brilliant. She doesn't know J and Sean as well cos she hasn't spent much time with them. We've not really been out with Rich and Billie yet as there hasn't been time, but sure we will. I do the work with Five and nothing gets in the way of that, then when I go home all I want to do is see Kerry. And of course my other friends and family. But the first thing I do is go and see her. I suppose I keep Kerry quite seperate from my work life which is why we haven't met up with Rich and Billie yet. We've been out a few times with Abs and Danielle. Like we've been bowling at the Hollywood Bowl in Basildon with them, and Kerry and Dan have been to quite a few shows with us. I remember one in Southhampton where we were playing to 7,000 people, and they were both sitting at the back of the stage with our mums and dads in plain view of everyone! I was looking at the fans thinking, if you only knew, and I did want them to know. I'm so glad I've talked to you. I feel like a weight's been lifted as I've been wanting to do it for such a long time now...and to be honest I don't care about the consequences!"
My Say on this: Way To Be Scott!! As Long as you're happy I'm happy!! You deserve someone great in your life and now you have found someone. Same with all the other memebers: You're happy! I'm happy! You deserve it!
Scott from 5ive's ear was aching after his management gave it a sharp tug. He had sauntered up to the VIP balcony on The Pepsi Chart to watch Ricky Martin's performance and to chat to some of his girlfriends...minutes before 5ive was due to sing themselves. The entire band had been frantically searching for him all over the venue, while charmer Scott had been propping up the bar and chatting up the ladies. Taken from Channel 5
During the past month of February 5ive has visited Argentina for the first time in order to appear in the popular show La Movida del Verano, hosted by Juan the Alberto Mateyko. During their performance in the program 5ive delighted the Fans with their songs: Slam Dunk, When The Lights Go Out, Until the Time is Throught and Everybody Get Up. The guys also made several interviews for the programs, Hit Internacional and Versus del Canal Argentino TELEFE.
The boys of Five signed a huge contract with the PEPSI and made a commercial one for the popular Generation Next campaign of the company. In addition to commercial, the boys they recorded special songs for a limited edition CD, that with 25 ring pulls from PEPSI you can obtain this CD. This CD, that is CD-ROM and contains Videos of the group, is available in England...!
The boys of Five next to Jordan Knight (NKOTB) will be opening for the Boys of Summer Tour 99 with North American group 'N SYNC. On the 27th of March the Disney Channel will show a Special concert that counted on the participation of Five, B'witched, Le Ann Rimes, Brandy, Jonny Lang, Cleopatra and 'N Sync. The concert will be showed on these days: 27, 29 and 31 of March and in April the 2, 6, 15 and 21.
Five's single in the United States is Slam Dunk [ Da Funk ]; this song will be the official song of the season in NBA 1999. The Five's debut album in the United States is already Gold.
This past 13th of December, 1998, the boys of Five gained 4 prizes, in from the famous Smash Hits. Five was the group in charge of opening up the Show with their single ' Everybody Get Up'. Five was awarded that night in the categories of, Best Album of 98, Best Cover for a Album, Best British Band, and the favorite of the Band Scott Robinson, received the award for the Best Hair.
