Second-Coming of Christ
The Manner of the Return

Many people are bewildered about the way I returned to Earth. They had expected me to come to earth on a cloud, literally. They believe that the bible doesn't allow for the interpretation that the return of the Messiah will be born on earth. They are wrong, in fact it is the only true interpretation. The bible has been misconstrued by people who thought they were doing the right thing.

Many Christians believe that Jesus will arrive on the clouds of heaven. This view is based on a literal interpretation of a few passages from the Bible. For instance, in the book of Revelation we find the prophecy that the Lord would come on the clouds: " Look! He is coming with the clouds…"

At the outset, we must recognise that the Bible contains much symbolic language. Jesus himself told us that he spoke in parables and symbols. In the case of the biblical description of Christ's Second Coming, the word "heaven" does not refer to the literal sky, but stands for great value, sacredness, or goodness. Representing these qualities, Christ will again come as a man on earth, with the power and presence of God, rather than by literally descending from the sky. Another symbolic word in the biblical descriptions of Christ's Second Coming is the word "cloud", it does not refer to literal clouds. It is a term for a group of fervent believers. This symbolic interpretation comes from the fact that water represents non-believers and people of low faith at times (cf.Ps.144:7&Rev.17:15), and since clouds are purified water, clouds represent devout and fervent believers.

In light of these insights, let's refer to and study some of the bible passages that relate to the Return of Christ:

Revelation 1:7
"Look! He is coming with the clouds; every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and on his account all the tribes of the earth will wail. So it is to be. Amen."
This passage clearly tells us that Christ will return to earth. It explains that when Christ returns there will have believers on earth, believers who are strong in their faith. It also informs us that Christ will be visible to everyone upon His Return.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
This passage also tells us that Christ will return to earth. It tells us that He will be with earnest believers and those who believe will also be caught up in the "clouds" (or with the fervent believers) to be with Christ.

Acts 1:11
"The angels said, 'Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven."
The angels that appeared told the men of Galilee that Jesus will come back to earth in a like manner to the way He was when he left. That is, He will be visible on his return, and He will be in a physical body upon His return.
