what lies ahead?what lies ahead?
a woven poem from william shakepeare's romeo &juliet
as i gaze into the overbearing fog
my mind wanders to things unknown
regions not yet visited by my corporeal self
places where i have never been
the great beyond comes to mind
thoughts coarse through my brain
like the wind laps at wisps of my hair
as i run towards the void which is death
i know not how to tell thee who I am
for i have searched long and hard
but in my shattered psyche i cannot find
the fragmented remains of an identity
and now it seems to me that death,
a winged messenger of heaven,
is of infinite appeal, but
being in night, all this is but a dream
come the morn
i shall wake
and be once again forever cursed
to a pointless existence
back to poems
back to social distortion
