Sunset is always splendiforous
whether brilliant or subtle
but still more incredible
is that final flash
that illuminates the sky
when the sun has vanished bellow the horizon
All that is left is the memory of daylight
and the one last beam that struggles to remain in the sky
but slips away 
leaving the purple hues of dusk
to overtake the world.
